How your generosity is handled, and how we address questions about gifts.
Donation and refund policy sections
This donation and refund policy is a structured, review-ready draft. It is not indexed by search engines, and the final language is pending approval. We do not state a processor, refund window, or receipt system that has not been confirmed.
Donation processing
You can currently give by mail with a check payable to The Accessible Legion Fund. Pending Online processing and the payment processor have not been confirmed, so no online processing terms are stated yet.
Tax receipts
We will acknowledge gifts and describe any receipt you can expect once our receipting process and nonprofit tax status language are confirmed. Pending We do not state tax deduction terms beyond what has been confirmed.
Restricted and unrestricted gifts
Gifts may be unrestricted, supporting our mission where the need is greatest, or directed toward a specific purpose. How directed gifts are handled will be described in the final policy.
Recurring donations
Pending Recurring monthly giving is not yet available. When it launches, this section will describe how to start, change, or cancel a recurring gift.
Refund requests
If you believe a gift was made in error, contact us and we will work with you to make it right. Pending A specific refund window and process will be set with the final policy.
Event and sponsorship payments
If we hold events or offer sponsorships in the future, the terms for those payments will be described here. None are being offered through this website at this time.
Project-specific donations
You may ask that a gift support a particular accessibility project. If a project cannot proceed, we will contact you about directing your gift to a similar need. Final handling is subject to approval.
Donor errors
If you notice a mistake with your gift, such as a duplicate or incorrect amount, contact us promptly and we will help resolve it.
